As avid active travellers, fitting in a workout during our luxury stay is a must, mostly when you stay at properties with great facilities and activities conducted by their fitness teams. If you are a Muslim and do Ramadan or happen to simply be on vacation in any of their participating Middle East and Africa properties, you will be able to enjoy free fitness activities, part of their “Move this Ramadan” campaign.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts launched this Ramadan wellbeing campaign in 2017 with the goal of bringing people together to walk, jog and stretch their way to a healthy Ramadan. Workouts offered are light and enjoyable, which is perfect for those who are fasting. Each property hosts weekly wellness activities led by their resident Four Seasons fitness expert. There will be jogging, yoga, stretching, strolls, and more, all curated based on the local climates and activity levels that are appropriate when fasting.

For this campaign, 16 Four Seasons are participating across the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. From sunset jogging sessions around the stylish promenade at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island to outdoor yoga classes with incredible views of the Caspian Sea at Four Seasons Hotel Baku, the choice of activities has been carefully planned to make use of the stunning surroundings found in each destination. Each #MoveThisRamadan session will be led by a resident Four Seasons fitness expert and takes into consideration local climates and appropriate activity levels. Note that anyone can join and you do not need to be a guest to be part of these free classes. Just make sure to book in advance!

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach (UAE)

  • Activity 1: The Resort invites local residents and guests to take part in complimentary restorative stretching classes, which will be led by Four Seasons fitness instructors.
    When: 5:15pm to 6:00pm every Monday (6, 13, 20, 27 May, 3 June)

  • Activity 2: Guests can also take part in complimentary yoga classes with Manoj, the Hotel’s resident Yoga Instructor and Therapist.

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island (UAE)

  • Activity: Guests are invited to join a sunset jogging session with Asuman Kibirige along the Al Maryah Promenade, a 5km scenic jogging trail that curves around Al Maryah Island. As a gesture from the Spa Team during the month of giving, each participant will receive a 30-minute spa massage voucher.

  • Activity 1: Resident Yoga Instructor Mariam Salous will lead a weekly slow yoga class for guests in the beautiful surroundings of the Hotel’s Spa.

  • Activity 1: The Hotel has arranged a Ramadan fitness schedule for guests throughout the month, and will offer complimentary ‘Power Walk on the Beach’ classes for the public every Sunday led by Personal Trainer and Wellness Centre Supervisor George Mansy.

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay

  • Activity 1: Iftar guests, in-house guests and Spa members can take part in complimentary 30-minute aerobics sessions designed to boost the level of oxygen in their bodies and maintain muscle mass. Suitable for both men and women, the classes will be led by Four Seasons resident fitness experts Xander and Pooja in the Hotel’s workout studio.

  • Activity 2: Iftar guests, in-house guests and Spa members are invited to walk, jog and connect with each other by the Hotel’s white-sand beach while enjoying breathtaking views of the Manama skyline. Led by fitness instructors Sanjay, Xander and Bhim, this gentle activity will increase blood flow, allowing guests to stay energized and maintain fitness levels during Ramadan.

  • Activity 1: The Hotel will offer guests an outdoor yoga experience at Baku Boulevard, complete with beautiful greenery and incredible views of the Caspian Sea, or indoors at the Jaleh SPA relaxation room on the 9th floor of the Hotel, depending on the weather. The 30 to 45-minute classes will offer a simple workout designed to cultivate participants’ vital energy.

  • Activity 1: The Hotel invites guests to participate in a 30-minute daily walking tour of Downtown Beirut, taking in Beirut Souks, Martyr’s Square, the Roman Baths and Nejmeh Square before returning to the Hotel.

  • Activity 2: Guests can take part in a 20-minute jog along the Beirut Corniche, passing Zaytounah Bay and Manara (Beirut Light House) as part of their journey.

  • Activity 1: Guests can join a one-hour walk around KLCC Park. The walk will begin at the Hotel’s gym and is guided by Four Seasons fitness trainers. After the activity, guests can freshen up and join ‘Sajian Nusantara’ at Curate for a Malaysian food feast with healthy options.

  • Activity 1: Guests can join a 30-minute walk from the gym to the beach guided by the Hotel’s dedicated naturalist. Afterwards, participants are invited to freshen up and enjoy a healthy culinary journey with food from the different regions in Malaysia by Ikan Ikan.
