Eat in Dubai: The Hide Meatery & Bar

This place is ideal for quick dinner plans and boys meet up on Tuesdays!
The service is excellent
The food you need to order is the roasted scallops & squid and the tomahawk
We loved dimmed ambiance and the bar area
We didn’t like the OMG onion rings as much as it was hyped about on the menu and by reviews
Bill for two is around 800 AED (~220$US) minimum (one drink each, 2 appetizers, 2 mains, one dessert to share)

The Hide can seem like an expensive dinner out, but don’t fear our bill, if you escape the meat cuts and eating that many starters, you could get away with a bill of two for 500 AED (~135$US) including the spirits. For the guys, worry no more when your sweetheart is out for her ladies’ night as The Hide hosts every Tuesday a Gentleman’s night where you can enjoy unlimited house grape while ordering prime cuts or dry aged meat. This is a pretty amazing deal if you ask us.

The menu at The Hide Dubai

Our first impression was that it was quite overwhelming. In a positive way though. Everything sounded so good we wanted to order the whole menu, which we almost did for the starters. One of us didn’t go for mains but ordered two extra starters instead! Note that it’s possible to do that, but bare in mind all the starters are quite small portions! The reason why we thought the menu was overwhelming was considering there was way too many choices. We understand it is to please the guests that are not feeling meaty, but it did take us a lot of time to decide! We ended up going with a porterhouse, mixed with smoked brandy & peppercorn sauce. As for sides, only went for the pulled beef short rib potato gratin with montgomery cheddar, which was bigger than we thought and filling!

Please save space when you eat there and don’t go crazy on the bread! The staff will tell you to not go full on the bread as it is indeed good but dessert is even better! We absolutely recommend you to take the campfire smores and a gym session in the next morning! Enjoy!
