Wellness Getaway at Al Maha Resort @ Timeless Spa

by Mitch

If you are looking for spa treatments in Dubai, well … you know the real situation, SO MANY OPTIONS!
Every hotel has one and many of them provide quality massage and relaxation facilities. It may be worth your while to take a drive into the desert and check out the Timeless Spa at Al Maha luxury eco-retreat resort for a day. Not only will you be getting a spa experience, you will also be out with the animals with a true desert venture.

Where is Al Maha’s Timeless Spa?

Even though the drive to Al Maha is just over an hour from the heart of Dubai, Timeless Spa is worth the journey. We arrived at reception and were whisked away on a golf cart to the Timeless Spa. We made sure to be there early to tour around but most importantly to use the facilities. If you are there to get a massage you might as well come earlier to enjoy all the facilities.

We put the swimmers on and relaxed in the warm jacuzzi for half an hour before our treatment. There is a private Rasul chamber, Hydrotherapy, a sauna and steam room. If you are feeling a little ambitious, you can take a dip in the cool plunge pool which is great for the skin and the immune system.

As it was our time to get a massage, we headed towards the couples treatment room after we picked our fragrance to enjoy the one hour treatment. We had a 100% organic de-stress treatment by NEOM Organics, something you must go for. We were each able to choose our own music to listen and as the lights dimmed, we began our experience. Being in the couples rooms made it great to experience this incredible spa together. Even if you don’t have anyone to go with, the single beds are still just fine.  The massage itself was personalized to the tight spots they found on our body and the therapists always made sure we were happy without interrupting us. In fact, it was so relaxing that I felt asleep at some stage. Don’t you hate it when you fall asleep thought? It’s like you are missing out on the rub!

What we liked: The obvious influence and amalgamation of Middle East and South-East Asian cultures. You can see it in the architecture, design and treatment styles. The massage itself was really personalized and catered to all of our sore spots. Being around the property was amazing to see the wildlife as we got to the resort. This spa experience will make you want to book a stay there, which we 100% recommend you. You should check it out!

The negative parts: Driving an hour is a long way but if you make a day of it, add in a lunch on the deck or even a camel ride in the evening, the trip will be more than worth it.
